About
Engineers who have run energy hardware at scale
DYDON Energy is a software company founded by people who spent the last two decades building platforms that connect real equipment: smartphones, battery-swapping networks, EV charging fleets. Now we are building the operating system for energy assets.
Taiwan and Australia, by design
DYDON operates from two places on purpose. Engineering and product are in Taiwan, close to the hardware ecosystem and to commercial and industrial customers electrifying their sites. Business development is in Australia, one of the most advanced markets for distributed energy, demand response and virtual power plants.
We do not build a large direct sales force. Customers reach us through partners who already sell them hardware: battery and inverter OEMs, installers, energy retailers and integrators. They handle delivery, installation and first-line support. We provide the software, the integration and the path to the market.
The company is at seed stage and focused on landing the first commercial deployments in both markets, then expanding through partners to Southeast Asia and beyond.
Founder
Philip Liu, Founder and CEO
Philip has spent his career building platforms and then running them at scale. Three chapters matter most for the new platform DYDON is building.
Philip Liu
Founder & CEO
- Platform invention
- Invented and shipped HTC TouchFlo, the multi-touch interface on early smartphones, and led engineering at HTC Magic Labs, the lab that also produced the first Android phone.
- Enterprise at scale
- Chief architect of the KYMCO IONEX battery-swapping platform and of the EV charging operating system for ABM, a NYSE-listed facilities company, deployed across its national footprint on a tight timeline.
- AI capability validated
- Selected by AWS as a Generative AI reference customer for using Amazon Bedrock to improve charging station operations in production.
Team
Firmware to cloud, hardware to AI
Three founding members come from the lab that produced HTC TouchFlo and the Android G1. The rest of the team brings reliability engineering, realtime data, protocol implementation and partnership experience from companies that run infrastructure for a living.
Winky Hsu
Firmware & Architecture
Core R&D on the HTC Dream, the first Android phone. Led firmware for both generations of the KYMCO IONEX battery-swapping system.
Yu-Kai Tseng
SRE Manager
Site reliability at MOXA. Led the compliance programme and built an AI-driven analyser that cut environment deployment from months to days.
Wilson Chou
Senior Backend Engineer
Implemented every version of OCPP and an OpenADR demand response server. Integrated smart meters and battery management systems.
William Kuo
Business Development & Partnerships
Product management at Supermicro. Closed joint ventures and led major public tenders.
Liam Liu
Data, Realtime Systems & AI Applications
Data pipelines and large-scale realtime systems behind the platform. Brought AI-native development workflows to the team: features that took weeks now ship in days.
