Platform
One platform from the asset to the market
DYDON Energy AI OS has four layers: Layer 1: assets connect through open protocols Layer 2: the edge keeps every site safe and responsive Layer 3: the platform forecasts and optimises Layer 4: every product line runs on top as an application
Four layers, one core engine
Every product line runs on the same platform and edge layers. Adding a product line means adding an application, not a new stack.
Application
A flat application layer that lets end customers move easily between product lines.
- EVOS
- AiEMS
- AiDC OS
- Residential DER
- DYDON VPP
- ESG and emissions reporting
Platform
Forecasting, optimisation and turning daily plans into commands, linked to billing and market services through the surrounding hardware.
- AI optimisation engine
- Orchestration and rules engine
- Multi-vendor integration layer
- Integration and billing
- Data platform
- Energy market services
Edge and control
The DYDON Edge Agent runs on site. It executes the plan, enforces the safety envelope and keeps going when the connection drops.
- DYDON Edge Agent
- Second-level control
- Local optimisation
- Offline continuity
- OCPP and OCPI
- OpenADR and CSIP-Aus
- Modbus and MQTT
Energy assets
The physical equipment, from any vendor, connected through the protocols it already speaks.
- EV chargers, including vehicle-to-grid
- Battery storage
- Solar inverters
- Meters, HVAC and building loads
- UPS and PDUs in data centres
- Grid and DSO interfaces
Safe at the site, smart in the cloud
Control decisions that need to be fast or must never fail live at the edge. Decisions that need the whole picture live in the cloud.
- Second-level control
- The edge agent adjusts charger power, battery dispatch and flexible load on a seconds cadence, without a round trip to the cloud.
- Local optimisation
- Each site holds its own plan and re-optimises locally as soon as a cloud update or a settings change arrives.
- Offline continuity
- If connectivity drops, the site keeps executing the last plan inside its limits until the cloud is back.
- Safety envelope
- Demand limits, reserve requirements and equipment constraints are enforced at the edge, so no cloud command can push a site out of bounds.
Speaks what your equipment already speaks
DYDON works with hardware from any vendor. Integration is through the open standards used across energy and mobility.
- OCPP
- Charger control across vendors.
- OCPI
- Roaming and charge point interoperability.
- OpenADR
- Utility and aggregator demand response signals.
- CSIP-Aus
- Australian DER connection and dynamic operating envelopes.
- Modbus
- Batteries, inverters, meters and industrial equipment.
- MQTT
- Lightweight telemetry and command transport.
- SunSpec
- Solar inverter and storage data models.
- Vendor APIs
- Where no open protocol exists, integration goes through the vendor's own interface.
Who decides what
Edge decides in milliseconds
Safety envelope, real-time control, local re-planning, keeping the site running when offline.
Cloud decides with the whole picture
Forecasting across sites, portfolio optimisation, market participation, settlement and reporting.
